Nutchel Ardennes

The Nutchel Cabins are located in Martelange, in the Belgian Ardennes, a beautiful region of forests, rivers, and hills. It’s a border city at the Belgian border with Luxembourg. The ideal place for a weekend away. You can also find Nutchel Cabins in Alsace, France.

Martelange is a beautiful area which connects the stunning landscapes of Luxembourg with the Belgian forests. The city is rather small but the ideal location to rest in nature or to hike. Just because it is so small and there is not much to do besides hike or spend your time in nature it is the ideal location to escape the business of bigger cities or daily life.

Cosy Cabins

Nutchel Cabins are cosy and comfortable. They offer stunning views of the surrounding countryside. My family and I stayed in one of the canopy cabins. The cabin was bigger than we expected and the roof terrace stole our hearts. It is equipped with a hammock, picknick table, comfy chairs and a BBQ. You hear it, the perfect layout for some chill evenings in nature or a delicious breakfast with a stunning view.

Inside the cabins we found everything we needed, from a fully supplied kitchen to the softest sheets and blankets. However there is not a lot of light in the cabin, it is enough and the team provides you with extra candles if necessary. In winter you can light your own fire inside your cabin for extra cosiness and warmth.

Sustainable Simplicity in the Ardennes

It is clear at Nutchel Cabins you can relax and unwind in the peace and quiet of nature. The team makes sure you can enjoy your stay at the cabins. At the reception area, you can have a laid back drink, find some local delicacies for during your stay and get information on the most beautiful hikes in the area.

You can also opt breakfast baskets in the morning or a BBQ basket in the evening. Everything you need for a delicious breakfast or a yummy BBQ is provided in a big basket, which you collect at the reception. You prepare the food yourself with family and friends for a beautiful start of the day or a warming dinner together. You can be sure that the baskets will provide you with enough food. For us, it was way too much. Nonetheless, I can highly recommend the BBQ basket.

We only opted for the BBQ basket for our last evening, to make it more festive. For breakfast and lunch we brought our own picknick. There is a big cooling box and cool elements in the cabin. You can bring anything you want and keep it cool. My mom made sure we could enjoy some delicious pancakes with berries for breakfast, add this view and you feel like you have found heaven on earth.

Nutchel Cabins is more than just a place to unwind and become one with nature. It’s also a great place to connect with the people you love. You can play games, cook meals together, or simply sit around the fire and talk. Further, you can go for hikes, bike rides, or canoeing in the rivers in the area.

My family and me did some hikes with the most amazing views. As the cabins are so close to Luxembourg we did a day trip to the Castle of Bourscheid, a day trip you won’t regret.
