The beautiful city of Cambridge, a historical gem nestled north of London is the perfect day trip from London. I visited Cambridge in spring together with my mom, and it was just perfect! Renowned for its prestigious university, breathtaking architecture, and serene riverbanks, Cambridge offers a delightful day trip for those seeking an English experience.
Getting to Cambridge
To embark on your Cambridge adventure, start your day bright and early in London. Trains from London King’s Cross station depart regularly, with a journey time of approximately one hour. Make sure you take the direct train. Some of the trains stop many times along the ride, avoid these. Those trains take you double as long to get there, and we don’t want that.
