So Schinoussa really is a hidden gem in the Aegean sea.

Many rich and famous people get to the island with their yachts to have a relaxed holiday. They don’t get disturbed while relaxing on the beaches of this hidden gem. The locals know celebrities want to be anonymous here and treat them like that. To say it in a local’s words: “It’s like Santorini but without the crowd.”

There are a couple of villages on the island. However, most of the restaurants and shops are all located in one village. This is located on top of a hill, which makes that many of the restaurants have an incredible view over the island and some of the bays.
You can find a handful of restaurants on the main street in this village. Kira Pothiti has the best view, and delicious food. In Loza Pizza you eat the best pizza on the island. Santorini to Schinoussa
You can get to Schinoussa by boat from Santorini, multiple times a day you can take a boat from Santorini to Naxos, and changes here on to a second boat to Schinoussa. We took the morning boat in Santorini to Naxos, had lunch on Naxos and then took the boat to Schinoussa. In this way we had time to discover Naxos as well without staying there. It was lovely! Find a strategic spot on the boats, and enjoy. The scenery is beautiful!
