If you’re looking for a Christmas experience this year, then look no further than London’s iconic Battersea Power Station. Located on the banks of the River Thames, this recently renovated building is the perfect destination for a festive afternoon or evening filled with delicious food, shopping, and Christmas vibes.

The Power Station was built in the 1930s and is now home to a modern shopping center. For the season the station has been decorated with festive decorations and is flanked by Christmas stalls and an ice skating rink. It’s the perfect place to get into the Christmas spirit. The market is set up next to the iconic turbine hall, offering plenty of space for browsing and shopping. You’ll find everything from traditional Christmas decorations to handmade crafts and delicious food.
Shopping at Battersea Power Station
The new shopping center provides you with everything you need. From glasses store Ace & Tate to fashion brands such as Reiss or Uniqlo, Battersea Power Station has it all. You can find all your Christmas gifts in this fabulous shopping paradise as well as the wrap (in Paperchase) to decorate your presents with.

One of my personal favourites is Curated Makers, a shop that sells handcrafted gifts from local small businesses. This small shop has its charm next to big brands such as Levi’s, Nike, and Mango. It’s worth giving it a visit.
You can find a list of all the shops in the shopping center here.
Eating in the Power Station
Even though you can find the chains such as Starbucks, Joe & The Juice, and the French Ladurée in the building, I highly advise you to go outside and cross the street for the best food. Even for a good coffee, you want to leave the majestic building and go across.
The yard next to the station houses several chain restaurants (Gordon Ramsey Street Pizza, Vagabond, Leon, etc.) but also some independent eateries with food from all over the world (Where the Pancakes are, Kova Patesseri and Fiume). For brunch, you go to my favourite, the famous and girly Megan’s just across the street and next to the river. You can definitely find exactly what you are looking for at the Power station, from a quick bite to a long bottomless brunch with the girls.
What to do at Battersea Power Station
Battersea Power Station also is home to a lot of fun venues such as gyms, movie theatres, and a VR lab. The most exciting is Lift 109. One of the iconic chimneys of the building has been refurbished and is open to the public. On your way up you delve into the building’s rich history with animated media and stunning imagery. At the top of the 109 metres high chimney you can enjoy a 360-view of London. Get your tickets here!
In December you can enjoy the festive Christmas market. It does not only come with craft stalls but also with an international food market and fun activities for people of all ages. Feel like an ice princess on the Jo Malone Ice Skate Experience or get romantic during one of the live music sessions.
Battersea Power Station is the place to be this winter!
Merry Christmas,
